about

Strangely, despite knowing each other for some 10 years or more, releasing recordings on each other's labels and touring together in 2006, Antony Milton and Peter Wright have never recorded together until now. With Antony's year-long hiatus in South America looming it was decided to remedy this situation with a quickfire recording session at the Christchurch home of a mutual friend, David Khan. The resulting 3 hours of jamming was edited and mixed by PW the next day and the final swampy dirge was then delivered by hand to Peter King at his Mt. Somers workshop to be lovingly cut as a 10" lathe. The results are delightfully dirty with moments of melody and hushed vocals breaking through like the rays of the sun shining on a mountain shrouded in black storm clouds.
